Violin bow by Carl Albert Nürnberger

Carl Albert Nürnberger built on his father Franz Albert Nurnberger Jr.’s success to bring his family's long tradition of bow making to its peak in the 1920s. He apprenticed in the family workshop Markneukirchen, where he gained the skills required to produce the firm's signature Tourte-model bows. Working alongside his brother Philipp Paul, he further refined the model, turning the respected family workshop into one of the world's best, unsurpassed in consistent quality and precision.

Carl Albert's basic model, which he employed throughout his career, features a rounded nose, large three-part eyes, and double-collared buttons with a strongly chamfered back edge. Linseed oil gives the stick a lustrous finish, a particular touch favored by many members of the family. Numerous makers, including Carl Albert, his father, son Karl Albert and grandson Christian Albert, used the brand "Albert Nürnberger," thus their output can be distinguished only through minute characteristics of workmanship.

This bow is in perfect shape, with original tinsel wrapping and no repairs. Tulsa Stings will provide a document stating this bow is made by Carl Albert Nurnberger upon request at the time of purchase.
